The deliberation between keeping things in-house to outsourcing certain projects is one of these deliberations every company faces at one point or another. It’s an issue that contains financial aspects, alongside HR elements, time and project management, organizational psychology, and more. Roy Mann, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of monday, knows it very well.

Prior to starting monday, Roy used to work as a freelancer. His experience as a freelancer is, in part, what led him to decide that monday will stick to working with in-house employees. It works quite well for us, but there’s no denying that there are certain challenges coming with this policy. Some of those challenges led us to go out and work with vendors. 

What led us to do so after years of sticking with the in-house policy? Why didn’t we do it right from the start? How do we choose a vendor?
