On Swapping Developers Between Startups

During a couple of weeks in April 2018, monday.com collaborated with a company called Chegg on a unique project, with the aim of sharing cultural and professional expertise with each other, by way of exchanging an employee to work full time in his counterpart’s shoes, to learn about engineering processes and figure out what each company does right, and where it can improve.

This week on our podcast, Daniel Lereya and I invited Rodik Hanukaev (who had spent two weeks with us as part of this project) to reflect back on this experience. We discussed the challenge in translating a personal experience into concrete learning, the importance of setting goals for such a project and the actual outcomes we achieved from it.
