How to make remote work more effective, and what does asynchronous communication have to do with it?
In March 2020 many companies around the world – monday.com included – started working from home. The morning coffee with friends from the office quickly turned into video calls, and hallway conversations turned into Slack messages – sometimes far too many. The way we work and communicate completely changed, and if for a moment we thought that working remotely can be similar to working from the office – well, eight months later, we know that this is definitely not the case.
In this week’s episode Matan Ben Moshe talks to Daniel Baruch, R&D Team Leader at monday.com, and Snir David, Developer at Daniel’s team who managed an entire R&D team remotely in the past. Daniel and Snir talk about asynchronous communication (one that doesn’t require an immediate response from the other side). They discuss how it helped their team overcome some of the WFH challenges, and provide tools for implementing remote work methods in a team.
