What does kickoff mean? Why should I convince others of the relevance of my project? And why shouldn’t you give up on holding a kickoff – even when it’s very tempting?
In monday, every work on a new feature or project starts with a kickoff meeting. It’s a session where the owner of the project presents it to the rest of the team – explaining the opportunities and challenges we identified.
It sounds like just another meeting, right? This meeting enables us to build a joint motivation with the team and create a clear picture of what counts as a success. Most importantly, receive feedback from all the project stakeholders, and connect the project leader’s vision with the company values.
This week Darya Wertheim spoke with Eran Helft, Product Group Lead and Sefi Keller, Product Manager in monday. they spoke about the structure of a kickoff, who the relevant stakeholders are, and how to make the most out of it.
