Israel is known as the “Startup Nation”. Tel Aviv is ranked #6 worldwide, right after major hubs such as New York, Silicon Valley, and Beijing. But it is not yet known as the “Scale-up Nation”, since choosing to keep the company and its management in Israel once it has reached global growth, is much less common.
In a special Recap episode for Israel’s 72nd independence day we are talking to Roy Mann and Eran Zinman, monday.com’s founders, about why we are here – why is it important for us as a company to keep Israel as the location for our headquarters and senior management, along with why is it important for us to invest resources in the local ecosystem.
What are the reasons that drove the founders to keep the company’s main activity in Israel? What are the advantages of establishing a company in Israel? What kind of challenges can arise from this decision? And why do we choose to share each week our internal processes and the decisions of the company outside, with the ecosystem?
“There are some challenging aspects in managing a company in Israel, but to me, Israel is one of the best places in the world to start a company – because of its ecosystem, because of the mutual collaboration, because of the investors, and because of the local talent.” (Eran Zinman)
